A little while back, I went with my dad @michaeljagoe and mom @sjagoe, to Plan B Burger Bar in Milford, Connecticut. Plan B is a top notch burger chain that is known for their 'B's... Burgers, Bourbon and Beer.

I got things started with a Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) from Founders Brewing Co.. It's a heavy and rich imperial stout, known to be one of the best in the country. Below is a look at the glass pour.

When you sit down at Plan B Burger Bar, the waitress usually brings over a bowl of house-made pickles. These are one of my favorite parts of the whole restaurant. They are lightly pickled, and still have a nice cucumber taste. A refreshing way to start the meal and build up hunger for the main dish.

As a meal, I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger, which is topped with blue cheese, caramelized onions & bourbon BBQ sauce. I added bacon, of course. Plan B has some of the best burgers around. As you can see, it is a perfect bun, with a nice juicy beef burger, made with meat containing no added hormones or antibiotics. The burger comes with the choice of one side. I chose the truffle french fries.

My mom (@sjagoe), also enjoyed a nice burger, but my dad (@michaeljagoe) decided to order from the 'Big Plates' section of the menu. He went with the Country Meatloaf which consisted of a slow cooked classic beef-pork blended meatloaf, served with a side of mashed potatoes & kale.

Overall, I think Plan B Burger Bar serves up some of the best burgers in the area. They have a wonderful selection of beers and bourbon, making it a great restaurant to go with some friends for a sports game. If you're hungry and you don't know where to go, there is always Plan B.
