Canada's Favourite Coffee Place.
Second Cup Malaysia, IPC Mall, Malaysia.
While having a lazy Saturday shopping day, we stumble upon a new cafe in the IPC Mall, or we like to just called the mall as Ikano. Second Cup Malaysia has opened just a few months ago, Ikano is a frequent place that we like to hang out with friends, but never really notice the place before.
Brief history of this place. It seems like Second Cup started Toronto, Canada in 1975, and became a global Franchise business over the year. There are only 2 branches in Malaysia at the moment, one in IPC and another in Sunway Putra Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
Since we just finished dinner and looking for a place for coffee, we were attracted by the cakes displayed at the counter. Look at them, how can one not attracted to those colours!! Plus the aroma of the coffee can be sensed from far.
We bought 2 slices of cake and of course their coffee to go with the sweet desserts. One was Berry Pavlova, and another one was Sneakers Peanut Butter Cheesecake. Both were delicious, just a bit too sweet for my taste, so I need to have my black hot coffee to go with it. In between the Berry Pavlova were fresh berries and strawberries, they were generous about the ingredients that I can say. As for Sneakers Peanut Butter Cheesecake, the layers of peanut butter and cheese blend well in your mouth, though the Sneakers on top was really sweet, at the end we need to divide into 5 small pieces in order to finish it.
I would love to come back and try the Rainbow Cake and John Lemon (I wonder why they used a man's name for the cake, was the chef name John? LOL) on my next trip here. I hope you enjoy the cakes photos
