When you come to famous Malaysian's food heaven- Penang state. What came to your mind? I bet many Malaysian would shout out - "Char Koay Teow " !
There are many stalls in Penang serving tasty and nice Char Koay Teow , but if you would like a vegetarian meal version, I need to recommend you this stall- Hooi's Classic Banana Leaf Char Koay Teow
The stall owner called Ah Hooi, reason why this stall is called Hooi's.
Actually you still can choices of your noodle, or you can order fried rice as well. But for me, that's only 1 option to choose, that's the signature Char Koay Teow - I will choose only the Koay Teow
As this stall portraiting, its signature dish is Koay Teow, I bet most people will opt for the easy option.
And due to boss is so well-known among the Penangites, every night 90% of the time you have to queue up for at least 30min- I think there are many placed order tru phone before he start operate! Coz I ever tried earliest possible to reach, yet I have to wait for 30 min !
Conclusion:
This place located just beside the highway exit, strongly sugggest friends who like vegetarian food to try it out if you happen to drive to Penang. So tempting !
