In conjunction with Singapore authority in preparation to promote the hawker center culture to the UNESCO world heritage, I would like to share some of my experience in one of the hawker center when I travelled to Singapore as well.
Under a big roof, hawker center serves the purpose like having a big compount restaurant, but there are many other small vendors selling different food to serve different taste customers.
With same table, all friends can take different cuisine.
For the lunch, I like to have Japanese salmon combination with Korean Kimchi
When the weather turns cold, I would like to take Chinese Herbal soup as lunch.
Or one can take the local dish- Yong Taofu with hot soup.
Hot soup wise, you can take Korean Soup as well- So many different soup type to choose from.
Longing for Hong Kong Food? dont worry , we can easily find it in hawker center !
Are you vegetarian? no worry ! you can find 1 stall that suit you and a tasty one as well!
Or getting an economic rice with 3 dishes of your choices?
I believe tourists who visit Singapore should give the hawker center a try , especially travellers from the western, to try out different cuisines all under 1 roof.
