Because life isn't all about food, a NO FOOD post today!!! Steampunk and cats... the best match for a new tattoo!
I have always loved cats... probably I was a cat in a previous life, or my body is preparing to become a cat... or this is just bullshit, hiding my true nature of just being a crazy cat lady!
Nearly two years ago I lost my beautiful steampunk tiger to a horde of wild dogs... yes Cambodia can be a rough place to live. Tuna aka Poes was never the type of cat that would die of old age... nonetheless losing one of my best furry friends hasn't been easy.

Though he lived a blessed life for fourteen years killing many mice, birds, fish, and other critters on his way, his steampunk, rebel attitude was too much.

In his head he was an actual tiger, so one night he sneaked out of our walled garden and got into a fight with five stray dogs. A fight he, unfortunately, lost :-(

While I still miss him every day, happy memories have now replaced the tears of loss. Therefore I thought it was about time to get my first cat tattoo... to remember the good times we both had... and he was the very first cat that was mine... well maybe that's not entirely true since it's usually the cat who owns the human... but anyway!
Ever since I saw this picture below, I thought it was a perfect match... If the afterlife exists, then I'm certain he is drinking his cup of tea with all the critters he has killed before... crunching his teeth for not being able to chase and kill them again!

THE EPIC STENCIL! It took me one brave and tiring session of many many hours to get this stunning piece on my arm.

How it looked just after

Picture of healing tattoo
It's been a month now and it is all nicely healed. The healing process actually took less than a week.
Even now I still don't have many words to express my gratitude for Nico, a good friend from Finland who made this wonderful piece of art!!
How many critters can you spot?
