Three years ago in the other world, I started a Postcard Experiment. This is an initiative to extend online friendships offline and to showcase the beauty of my adopted country - Taiwan.
My Postcard and subsequent Christmas card experiment ran for about five months till I left Taiwan in February 2020. Here's a summary of the experiment, extracted from one of my previous post
The initial idea was to take advantage of Taiwan's very cheap postage service and spread some love and friendship around the world. During the experiment I met many new friends, many of whom have now become good online friends. Some, I have also had the pleasure of meeting in real life. Some participants were very sweet and offered to send a postcard/Christmas card back to me. That was unexpected and much appreciated 😍
Three years on, I'm back in Taiwan again, and I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to resume my Postcard Experiment. During this three years, we've moved to a new world, a much better world than before. Many people have joined since and it would be lovely to see some newbies join my experiment. Of course, I'd love to reconnect with those who took part last time. And, if you don't fall into either of these groups, you're also welcome!!
Taking part is easy. Just drop me a message on Discord with your name (real or Hive handle) and address and I will send you a postcard from Taiwan. It will not cost you anything. I will only use your address to send you a postcard and will delete it afterwards. DON'T drop your address here!!!
My Discord ID is livinguktaiwan#6787. You can find me on many Discord servers such as Pinmapple, OCD, The Terminal, Ladies of Hive, PeakD, ecency, Aliento. This experiment is all about trust and respect so please don't spam me with your post asking for upvotes or follows 🙃. Other than that, I'm more than happy to hear from you. This experiment will run till early March before I leave Taiwan.
If you want to find more more information about my Postcard Experiment from my previous posts here and here. Look forward to hear from you.
Ps. There still seems to be some outgoing postal issues in Taiwan, for example I know it is not possible to send anything to Ukraine yet (sorry @zirochka). Not sure if there are more countries.
