Tokyo Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower 　不思議な建物、新宿繭タワー　AZ in Tokyo Part 2

Hello Everybody!

This is the Tokyo Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower in Shinjuku.
It is a vocational school with a height of 204 m, 50 stories and it is the tallest building of educational facilities in Japan.
Incidentally, It is the second tallest educational institution in the world and it's also the 17th highest building in Tokyo.

みなさんこんにちは。

こちらは新宿の東京モード学園コクーンタワーです。
高さ２０４ｍ　５０階建ての専門学校です。日本の教育施設の建物で１番高いビルです。
ちなみに、世界の教育施設では２番目に高いビルで、東京で１７番目に高いビルだそうです。

The Moscow University is the tallest educational institution in the world.
The height is about 240 m. It's so beautiful.

こちらは、ロシアのモスクワ大学が世界で一番高い教育機関の建物とされています。高さは約２４０ｍ。すごくきれいな場所ですね～。こんなところで私も学んでみたいです。

We went to the front of the Tokyo Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower.
It is a magical building that I can't think of as a school.

The architectural concept of Cocoon Tower is a" cocoon" as its name suggests.
They hope the students learn and grow up to become professionals here like pupa growing up in the cocoon and fly away to society.

Students can learn 3 fields here that are fashion, IT, medical.

目の前まで行ってきました。学校とは思えない、不思議な建物です。

コクーンタワーのコンセプトは、その名の通り繭。繭はさなぎを覆う大切な役割をしています。学生をこれから社会に飛び立つさなぎ、学校の校舎を繭と例えたのだそうです。

学生は、ファッション、コンピューター、医療の３つの分野をここで学ぶことができます。

Even night time, the building has a strong presence.

夜もなかなかの存在感。

Next door, there is a cocoon hall

東京モード学園コクーンタワーの隣には、球体の繭をイメージして作られたコクーンホールがあります。

There are 2 halls, for rent, which each hold up to around 500 seats.
Kimura Kaela, a popular artist in Japan and Tim Burton, familiar with Alice in Wonderland and Paul Smith have visited a student fashion show here.

中には５００席ほど入る大きな２つのホールがあり、貸し出しもしています。
日本の人気アーティスト木村カエラやアリスインワンダーランドでおなじみのティム・バートン監督、ポールスミスもこちらに訪れたことがあるそうですよ。

新宿に行った際ぜひコクーンタワー見てみてください。
彼曰く、ビルオタクにはたまらないシルエットだそうです。(笑)
