This is my most FAVOURITE place in the UK. The landscape is stunning, the hills are challenging yet accessible and the pubs are warm and full of good food and dogs.
This particular location is very well know for a man called Donald Campbell. He was a pure petrol head addicted to breaking speed records. He broke many records but finally died in an accident aboard the Bluebirdon Coniston Water, seen in the middle of the image.
