The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal, has excellent weather conditions (mild climate and plenty of sun throughout the year), excellent beaches, leisure areas and plenty of green areas, mountains and a beautiful sea bottom.
It was from this region that the Portuguese set out to meet other peoples and cultures in the fifteenth century.
The Algarve region is well known for its excellent beaches. Areais out of sight, bordered by golden cliffs, almost deserted islands (if not in the high season - summer) that mark the border between the Ria Formosa and the sea, or small bays, nestled by its rocks.
The waters of this zone are of the blue tone, almost always calm and warm, invites to prolonged baths and nautical sports.
In the Algarve we also have the mountain range, where people live in harmony with nature. In this area you have the possibility to make tracks on foot or by bicycle, as for example in the algarviana route by the interior or the route Vincente by one of the best preserved stretches of Europe.
In the Algarve you can not miss the boat trip in what is another way of observing the fauna and flora.
In relation to the food customs of the region, fresh fish and seafood are outstanding.
In the drinks the almond liqueur and the aguardente of arbutus.
