Harajiri Falls, Crescent Shaped Waterfall

Harajiri Falls Is located west of Oita city, Kyshu, Japan. Its pretty nice looking water fall on the way to MT. Aso. The water running down is clear and clean and a nice mist is produced at the bottom which is pretty nice in summer.

You can walk along the top and look down the falls, there's no barriers or anything so I would recommend getting too close. There are a few shrines in the area and large temple gates.

Its not easily accessible at the bottom of the waterfall, but you can find your way to the pooling water and get a good view, as well as dip your feet if your a sweaty mess or for pleasure.

A few meters in front of the water there is a rope bridge you can jump on to scare tourists and children. You get a good view of the water from the bridge and it leads to a gift shop / restaurant

All in all its a great stop off to other sites in Oita and a pleasant place for picnics
