Hello steemians and travellers!

Welcome to the 22nd edition of Kim's Quest! As promised, this is the second part of our camping experience at Pamutan Grassland here in Cebu. I'm actually thrilled to share this post because this is a combination of my two favorites: sunrise and mountain. As I have said in my previous posts, I'm a mountain person so there's no doubt that I will be sharing more posts like this in the future.

I have been hiking in Spartan Trail for quiet some time, but I have never tried to camp in Pamutan Grassland, so I didn't know what to expect. I just went on with it because we were preparing for our major climb.

Alright! Let's pick up from where we left.

The night before was all fun and laughter. I had a great time even with the people I just recently met. We slept at around 1:00 AM because the socials night was so much fun.

I set my alarm at 5:00 AM in order for me to watch the sunrise, but I woke up at 5:30. It's a little bit late, but good thing the sun hasn't risen yet. As I got out my tent, I was struck by the beauty right before my eyes. Everything was so beautiful 360 degrees.

Since our tents were facing the city, which is in the east where the sun was slowly rising, I was literally frozen right there in front of my tent. It was jaw-dropping. The cold breeze from the mountains behind me brought me back to reality. That's when I took a lot of photos.

What I love about the place in that moment was the play of colors. As the sun slowly rises, the surroundings were changing it was very dynamic. Everywhere I point my camera, a different sight was offered to me by the place. That was one of the most magical moments in my life.

On the west are the mountains of Central Cebu. Slowly they revealed their beauty as the sun started to illuminate them.

There's really something in those majestic mountains in the background that made feel relaxed and at home. They're towering, but not imposing. We're just miniscule compared to them, but they're always giving and forgiving. The wind, rain, and other forces of nature sculpt them over time and yet they appeared to be unyielding.

You know you're in Pamutan Grassland, when you can see a cell tower at the south of the campsite. This was the landmark that we used as an indicator that we were nearing the campsite while trekking the rolling hills the night before. I actually find it very convenient especially at night when you can easily get lost in the wilderness.

Of course I didn't miss to take photos of my friends who were with me that time. You can already see Shiela's photos above. Zaniel's photos are what follows:

I also didn't miss to have Zaniel take a photo of me for instagram.

After all the photoshoot and sunrise watching, we then break camp and went back to Bagsakan. I was excited for the major climb. Next post will be about my major climb in Bukidnon, Mindanao. Stay tuned, folks!
