Tuesday is #treetuesday

On #treetuesday I try to find trees that are somehow special.
That's not always easy - but if it was easy, everybody could do it 😎.
One of the wise sayings of a former boss.

Another one was:

A meeting a day keeps the profit away.

Well, back to the trees

This week's tree has something in common with the one of last week.
At first sight a totally normal tree. Quite high and healthy.

But let's take a closer look at the bottom of the trunk

It is growing out of a tree lying on the ground. Such a big and strong tree just growing from an old trunk of a tree that didn't make it!

Here I zoomed in

You can see that the old trunk where the tree is growing is not even touching the ground.
I wonder what it looks like when it's stormy weather.
A big tree standing on an old trunk lying on the ground but not touching the ground where the tree grows!!!

Nature is incredible and unpredictable

Mankind always tried to control nature but I think and hope mankind will never succeed in doing so.
