Trading your assets in the Bitshares Decentralize Exchange
Bitshares wallet isn't just for storing your valuable assets you can also trade your assets using bitshares decentralize exchange order booking.
In this chapter we will exchange our SBD or STEEM for Bitshares.
- Under the window selection at the top of your Bitshares wallet. Click
EXCHANGE
.

- Once you are in the
EXCHANGE
window, in the right side there is a panel namedMY MARKETS
. Under that panel enter SBD or STEEM in thefilter
text box. In that panel click theBTS
then in it's list click open.SBD or STEEM.

Note: Look closely at the upper left side where there's an arrow like open.SBD
→ BTS
. That means you are converting your open.SBD to BTS and if the BTS is pointing to open.SBD that means you are converting your BTS to open.SBD. This might give you more information when looking at the charts. For ex. 1 SBD = 12 BTS the charts will show you from starting at 12. If 12 BTS = 1SBD then the charts will show you starting from 0.0833.

This chart shows open.SBD to BTS

This chart shows BTS to open.SBD
- We will go in-depth information about what you are seeing in your trading pair open.SBD to BTS
The buy panel - this is where you buy the the asset you want in exchange for how many of your exchanging asset.
For example: You want to buy 1 open.BSD for your 12 Bitshares. The sell panel - this is where you put your asset on sale in exchange for the asset you want.
For example: You want to sell your 1 open.BSD for 12 Bitshares. The Buy Orders List panel - This panel shows the list of buyers from highest bidding to the lowest bidding.
The Sell Orders List panel - This panel shows the list of sellers from the lowest bid to the highest bid.
The Market Trades panel - This panel shows the history of the trades that happened from the latest to the last ascending order.

- Selling our open.SBD for Bitshares. Remember sell order list panel clicking at the lowest bid will automatically set your selling price to the lowest bid. If you want to sell higher than that you have to change your selling price higher than that. in the
quantity field
enter the amount of open.SBD you want to sell. It will automatically show how many BTS you'll gain in thetotal field
. Thefee
is actually the fee for the transaction process.
For this example I've set the selling price to the lowest bid for 1 open.SBD.

- Once you have sell book your open.BSD all you have to do is for someone to buy your open.SBD for that price. You sell book will also be listed in the MY OPEN ORDERS panel.

Note: Look closely at the upper left side where there's an arrow like
open.SBD
→BTS
- Remember this because the buy and sell will change depending on where the arrow is pointing. So for open.SBD to BTS means we are buying open.SBD using our BTS. The mechanics is the same as the
SELL
instructions earlier only this time we are buying open.BSD for the higest bid to lowest.
That sums it up to our trading lesson. Next will be boosting our post in STEEMIT using our Bitshares Assets.
That's me trading on Bitshares DEX
