🎥 Create Your Own GIFs

Here's a free app I use to make gifs out of my videos for posting or to create simple gif memes from any scene.

www.instagiffer.com

Available for Windows & Mac, Instagiffer is a tool that allows you to convert almost any video with no watermark and a nice set of options. You can use regular videos (.mov, .mp4, etc), a Youtube link or make an instant screen capture.

To start load a video file (almost any format), youtube link or capture your own screen:

Set the duration and smoothness (frames per second, I use around 14...lower than that = slow/choppy and viceversa).

Choose size percentage in the slider (red square to manually crop any area).

Quality mostly affects the texture of colors but keeping it below 50 greatly reduces the overall file size (I usually have it between 30-45).

Now the Playback Rate sometimes I just leave it as it is and others maybe 1, depending on the speed/effect you want to achieve, but its usually down to playing between this one and the Smoothness slider.

Then there's the caption menu (with different fonts and animation styles) and settings for the FX and filters.
TIP: Access the FX menu to disable Enhancement (its always on by default and not needed imo).

Keep tweaking the settings until you achieve the desired outcome, lemme know if you get interesting results.

There's a lot of possibilities for the use of this app, have you made your own GIFs or know about other tools like this one?
