Don't Worry About Your Current Steemit Level, Be Consistent & Write Good Things. (ahmadmanga's ULOG)

It's frustrating when you get 10 new followers, and find that most of them are bots, but does it really matter? For the discussion sake, here's my opinion. (Most of the post isn't about followers.)

I had conversation with @phedizzle on Discord, who talked about having "such & such" followers but she doesn't get much views or comments to her post, most of those followers aren't real.

Steemit seems only have writers (the quality is another topic,) and not as much readers, which is against the laws of nature/ real world.

But I think having Real followers doesn't matter

Let's talk about how following works, you see someone you like, click "Follow" and then their posts will appear in your feed (the main page after log in.) The only other thing following does is that the account appears in your follow list so it can be used.

The thing is, your feed will be manageable if you followed 50-100 people, maybe even 300... But the higher the number of people you follow, the more meaningless each follow becomes. Why?

Because you won't see the posts of the people you want
If you have follow too many accounts.

People who follow thousands of users don't usually open their feed, and if they do they probably won't see your post. That's why I said to her:

People won't see your post if they followed you, I only go to my feed once in 3 days... If you want people to see your post make them see it, Be That Good. Make them think about you when they don't see your posts, I haven't reached that level but all successful people are like that.

I know, that most people won't be able to be that good. Sadly, it's not only on steemit,

It's like that in all social media, people won't see you at least you work for it... If money is involved that become more so.

But that's implying people who do work hard aren't.

"a lot of hard working people are not successful comparable to the upper most successful."

I was taken aback when she replied with that, looking at my words above. It does seem that way... Ouch!! Well, I replied:

I know, but I don't want to imply that people don't work hard... it's just that working hard is just one reqiurement, luck is another... If you didn't market yourself you probably won't get audience.

If you market yourself you might still not get the audience.

If you never give up your chances will increase (sometimes success will come in years time.) but if you haven't tried in the first place/or give up in the middle you won't know.

I know the last part is harsh, I'm terrified by it myself. But we want to earn money from a website that generates it. The money doesn't come from nothing here, it comes from people's time.

When someone upvotes to you they basically gave part of their time (invested long beforehand) to you. Like when you upvote yourself you got rewarded for the time you invested (For the community sake though, don't over do it.) Even the bots that get the money for themselves are made with hard work and knowledge acquired from more hard work, maybe it's not fair... But we have to make our way if we can.

We all want a better steemit,
Don't we?

The Power of Persistence

But if you read/watch stories of people who found success after failure, you'll find a pattern, they all had one thing in common... so I told her:

Also the longer you work unrewarded, the bigger the reward will be when it finally comes.

When people finally notice you and find all your earlier works unrewarded, they'd want to do their best to reward you for them, but if they find you successful from the start, it's less likely they try to do that

I believe what I said is true,
Don't worry if your hard work is not rewarded... Someone in this world must be dying to read your works, sometimes they don't know yet. But at these times, it's more important to make something worth the wait.

Something that lets the reader who discovers you today
Regret not having met you sooner.

But that's just what I think,
All of what I said today is like that, so don't take my opinion as it's the "world" view on the topic.

What do yoU think?

I'm interested in your comments.

The #uloggers who were inspired by @surpassinggoogle, probably think like me too... We all matter and we don't have to change who we are, but other people don't have to change who they are for us too... Someone out there must want to read what we have to offer, but if we didn't find that someone yet.

The best thing we can do,
is to make more of our work for them until we find each other.
