I love eating… I mean who doesn’t? And I am “unfortunately” surrounded by people who feel the same way. I would love to say “fortunately” but since being around them causes me to spend, spend, spend, and spend. That’s indeed unfortunate. When it comes to food, we have the same habit, so we also have the same financial cycle. We always end up broke still a few days before payday, which makes it even more unfortunate.
Today is one of those broke days before payday and we unanimously said to ourselves.
“We’ve Got no Money. No Eat out Tonight!!!!”
We said that with real conviction.
Eating that night would mean walking our way to work back and forth for the remaining days. That decision stood with so much conviction until we got out of work and one of my friends smelled pizza. I honestly freakin’ didn’t know where the pizza smell came from. We were inside an elevator when she smelled that. I firmly believe it was just her being the gluttonous monster that she is. We all are actually and that woke up the gluttonous freaks inside us as well. And you can easily guess what happened.
YESSSS BEEYYTTCHHHH!!!! We ate out yet again. Ahhhaaa!!!!
We ate at a famous (because it’s cheap) pizza store near us and satisfied the beasts inside that just won over our firm decision to not eat. Food over principles I guess hahahaha.
After eating, we snapped right back to our realities. The reality that now we are broke AGAIN, and now we will have to figure out how to survive the remaining days before payday. Walking to work is so real. This is soooo UNFORTUNATE!!!!
But on second thought, we enjoyed, we felt alive, we felt satisfied and we might be unfortunate for being broke again, but still we are FORTUNATE for having each other, for the memories and for our friendship.
