The world cup has ended, at least for me, my last night shift was yesterday. I went to bed at around 4am this morning after the shift and woke up before lunch time. Before going to bed yesterday, I noticed an ad on Gumtree for a Rode NT1-A cardioid condenser microphone that is sold as new (refurbished) for just A$160 (RRP $299). As I woke up, I got a message from the seller saying it is still available and I negotiated the price down to A$150.

C'est quoi ULOG? What is a ULOG?

In a nutshell, a @ulog is just a log about you. The U in ULOG stands for the word "You". It is your dairy on the Steem blockchain. In a few years, you will be able to come back and remember what happened on that day, your kid can rediscover who you were, what you did etc...

Rode NT1-A

The product is actually a pack composed of the Rode NT1-A microphone, a shock mount to prevent vibrations from being recorded and a pop filter. This type of microphone allows better recordings due to a larger diaphragm.

My wife and I went to get the microphone but we headed to Gosford first to get ourselves some Vietnamese rolls for lunch. On our way, we noticed some remaining autumn colors on the trees, this reminded us of the marvelous autumns in France and England, we miss that a lot.

Karaoke

I'm still in a night mode as I have not adjusted yet. So I went to bed at 3 pm and woke up at 6 pm for dinner. I then spent the evening singing on the Smule app for iPhone to test the new microphone. Above is my cover of "Et si tu n'existais pas", a french song by Joe Dassin.
