ULOG 007 - A very long day!

Wow, this is my 7th @ulog, I didn't think I'd last 7 days in a row. Let see if I can get some ideas for 7 more days 😆. So this morning, my alarm clock rang at 2:55 am. Yes, you did read properly 2:55 in the dark morning 😱. As explained in a previous #ulog, I work for a TV broadcast company in Australia and I'm part of the team that has to monitor the live streams this week.

The FIFA World Cup 2018

Lucky for me, Internet technologies allow me to work from home or else I would have to drive 80 Km to go to work and come back after the match. Above is what I had to do, watch the match and make sure the various apps that are playing the live streams are working correctly. Lucky for us, nothing major happened today.

The winter harvest from the garden

I ended my shift at around 8:00 am, it was supposed to be 6:30 am but I stayed extra hours to help with other stuffs. After that I had a breakie with the family and went to the garden.

I first went watering the plants and started harvesting some leaves from the Tropical Lettuce Tree:

I then went harvesting the leaves from the Stevia (sugar plant), I put the seeds in a bag and left the leafy branches on a tray to leave them to dry.

Then, we decided to take the little one to The Entrance, one of favorite places to go on a family day out. As I was sleepy, it was safer for my wife to drive us out.

Thien-San was excited to get on his bike. It's winter here in Australia and both of us were stuck at home for weeks due to cold and flu, this is our first proper day out.

And look at this beautiful place! There is a playground, tons of restaurants, a beach, the ocean and a lake!

For this winter, there will be a market every Saturday and they have a Vietnamese food stand! I ate Bún Bò (cold rice noodles with stir fried beef), Minh-Sa had Phở (Beef noodle soup) and Thien-San had spring rolls.

We stayed until about 4:40 pm and then headed home.

Let's play a little game. I'll give 1 SBD to whoever can tell me what this photo above is. Obviously, this is a shadow of me. But, you need to guess what object is casting that big shadow around me. If there are more than one correct answer or if there is no correct answer, I'll draw a random winner.

This other photo might (or not) help:

On our way back, I managed to get a nice little sunset. In winter, sunset colors are not wonderful, but I needed a Sunset photo for @phoenixwren's contest Get To Know Your Nature Photo Contest: Round Three. But I was reading the wrong contest post and it was the previous one hahahaha. So I'll have to go take another set of photographs.

Password and Private Keys security

You all know that your Steem password is the access to all your STEEM, SBD, posting, transferring, everything... right?
So, please, follow these simple steps and keep yourself safe:

  1. Apart from the initial setup of your account, NEVER use your password ANYWHERE, if stolen, it will give full control to your Steem account.
  2. Backup your password and keep it somewhere safe. Use a password manager like Lastpass, print it on paper and put it in a safe (no kidding). If you forget your password, no one can help you out.
  3. To login for creating content and curating, use your Private Posting Key
  4. To make transfers and account operations, use your Private Active Key
  5. To encrypt and decrypt memos, use your Private Memo Key
