The weekend will be short for me, the World Cup nightshifts are resuming for a last series of four consecutive nights. It will be a tough four days to go through and I'm looking for the several days of break I will have right after. This afternoon, I took my boy biking at the Bushlands Reserve Playground in Springfield.
This is my third week as a #ulogger, I didn't think I would last this long. Weekend are definitely easier becase my family often go out and do something. Today, we went to one of my son's favourite playgrounds in Springfield. The reason he likes coming here when biking is because there is a little circuit that is made like a mini road network with painted traffic lights, crossing, roundabout etc...
He pretends to be on the road and stops for people to cross the street 😃. His mum and I enjoy the place too as it is bright and sunny and it is nice to sit on the hill. Looking down at the playground.
The playground is surrounded with trees which is great.
The low sun casted a side light rendering beautiful colors on the green leaves of the trees. It's wasn't too cold of a winter, we still had our jacket on but it felt good. I was tired today, still not fully recovered from my night shifts for work but the end of it is near.
So I headed up the hill to sit down and play the ukulele. On my way up, I saw a group of Galah feeding on the lawn. These birds are also known as rose-breasted cockatoos. Very common, they are found in almost all part of Australia.
I sat down in the shade of the tree and took my Ukulele and strum quietly as to not disturb other people. This cold sunny winter reminded me of my time on London. I kind of miss London a little bit eventhough our life is better here, there are times when my wife and I remember our times in the UK.
After half an hour or so, I join my wife and the kid and played with him near the slide and took the opportunity to take some videos for his grand-parents. We decided to play a little bit with the slow-motion feature of the iPhone and it was fun. At some point, I also asked Thiên-San to hold the camera while sliding down.

Have you ever seen a slow-motion GIF? No? There it is! 🤣

Right, I have to leave you now. The shift has already started. I've just fixed a little minor CDN cache issue before finishing this post.
