katerinaramm in her testing, discovered a bug on the latest release of the Actifit app, version 0.4.0. According to the report, when a user directly takes a picture with the camera to upload on steemit, the landscape orientation of the image when previewed switches to vertical and does not change when posted on steemit. When further tested by the reviewer, the behavior could not be replicated and could have possibly been an issue with the camera app used , and not necessarily the app (actifit) itself.

quochuy's report was targeted at steemplus, a plugin that allow users to take control of the steemit.com front-end, providing extra features. After posting an article, clicking on the "Post" button takes you to a page that does not exist because the URL contains %20 (spaces) instead of hyphens. Though the new post appears on the user’s blog, it constitutes a strange user experience. Quochuy would later make a pull request that fixed the issue.

mightypanda found out that steemit.com links show "page not found" when re-written as busy.org. While the behavior was easily replicated, it did not pass as a bug. Reason being that there is no direct link on the busy.org frontend to access the affected pages - (curation-rewards and author-rewards). On the steemit front end, the curation-rewards page can be accessed by simpy typing @mightypanda/curation-rewards in the browser, while on the busy frontend you'll have to open the activity tab and then ma the curation rewards box to filter out the curation rewards from a list of other activities, same with author rewards. Hence it was filed as an unimplemented feature since it works for pages that are properly linked.

In summary, one contribution was rewarded in accordance to the Utopian review guidelines governing the category. The other two were not rewarded for the following reasons.

  1. The behavior described in contribution could not be reproduced following the steps that the contributor provided. Bug hunters are advised to test bugs on multiple devices if possible to properly ascertain the environment and scenarios in which the errors occur.
  2. The feature described here worked as expected, the resulting “page not found” prompt is because there is no line of code that exempts the affected page from being rewritten. There’s a big difference between bugs and features that are yet to be implemented, supported or just left out by the developers of an application.
