Introduction and Campaign Strategy

My name is Ebixy Ebi Laffin and I have a page on Facebook where I promote open source applications.

Moodle is a learning management software that has gained worldwide acceptance from students, teachers and school administrators. The last promotion I did, I targeted Teachers but I was later corrected that this was not supposed to be so. As teachers and students are only end users, the school head or proprietors call the shots in terms of the learning pattern or method to be used in a school.

So this time around I decided to target the school administrators. Targeting the school administrators came with its own challenge as they were not readily available on Facebook. I had to broaden my geographical coverage to get more potential audience. There is a minimum number of potential audience which Facebook allows and if you dont meet the minimum, you would be advised that your audience is too narrow. The countries targeted were United States of America, United Kingdom and India

The age range was also set to between 30 and 60 years as most school administrators would fall around that age range. In order to meet my desired target audience I ran the ad for seven days and that helped the ad to produce better results.
