Promoting Steemhunt #5 - Maximize the Biggest Airdrop ever for SP Holders

A. Introduction

Date: Auguest 13, 2018

Last week, Steemhunt announced in this post about their airdrop plan. This is really the largest ever airdrop for Steemit users. If this is the first time you hear about this, you must read on. As you all know, HUNT tokens is the main currency on the Steemhunt platform based on the Smart Media Token (SMT). The starting date of this airdrop of HUNT tokens is August 13, 2018.

B. Who is eligible for this Airdrop?

Any Steemians with any amount of SP on Steemit is eligible and can right away claim free HUNT tokens starting today. The amount you can claim is based on your original SP regardless of any delegations you have given. Steemians, if you hold a big amount of SP, this is big opporunity for you to act! Don't get missed out on this bit time!

C. Ratio of 1:1 Airdrop for SP Holders

Yes, you read correctly - the airdrop is at a ratio of 1:1. The whole process went live already today in a couple of hours and will continue until all 100M HUNT tokens are claimed.

Steemhunt is now acting on the point 1) 100M - 1:1 ratio to Steem Power. Look! 50% HUNT tokens are now being airdropped for Steemians.

Ask Yourself:

How much SP do you have in your Steemit account? To the number of SP that you hold, Steemhunt will freely airdrop the same amount of HUNT tokens to you.

All Steemit users should take hold of this airdrop big time today!

D. Here's how the whole airdrop works:

Step 1

Look at your Steemit wallet to see how much SP you have.
Using myself as an example: I have 10,038.480 SP.

Step 2

Go to you Steemhunt account and click on the Wallet Feature.

Step 3

Follow the arrow there and click on the SP Claim Tab!

Step 4. Airdrop for SP holders

A new window will pop up to show you how many HUNT tokens you can claim.
Since it is 1:1 ratio, the number of HUNT tokens that I can claim would be: 10,038.480 HUNT tokens.

Step 5. Hit Claim Hunt Tokens

As you can see the procedure is not difficult at all.

From the image above, you would notice that so far only 286 users had claimed the tokens and that there are still 1,245,886.290 HUNT tokens left. Only a very small portion of the HUNT tokens are claimed as we are still in the first hour of the airdrop today.

E. I Have Already Claimed My Hunt Tokens

I wanted to see how the whole thing work today in claiming the HUNT tokens, so I had already taken action and claimed my HUNT tokens.

I belong to the first 300 Steemians who had claimed the HUNT tokens this morning. I actually did it too fast.

After I had claimed my HUNT tokens, I suddenly realize that I didn't take advantage of maximizing this Airdrop tokens at all.

If you look at the slider up there, only 1% of the 100M tokens are claimed. There really is no big hurry to claim the airdrop tokens now as this is still in the "infant" stage of the Hunt Airdrop.

I was a bit rush and didn't think through the process and thus this blog post to help all other fellow Steemians that you can maximize your airdrop tokens by taking the following points into consideration.

F. Maximize Your Airdrop tokens

You can claim your HUNT tokens today if you wish. There is no risk to take here.
If you want to get more HUNT tokens in this airdrop, you can claim it at a later date where you accumulate more SP in the next few days. Your SP will bound to increase, so waiting for a higher SP is also a path to go to maximize the return of the airdrop HUNT tokens.
Remember that this is a "first come first get" system. This means that once the 100M HUNT tokens are claimed, there will be no more.
Look at the slide there on the SP Claim. So far only 511 users had claimed tokens with only 3% of the HUNTS' Claims.

As you can see, I had claimed mine too early, thus this quick blog post to help other hunters to maximize this Steemhunt SP Airdrop.
You can go to the Steemhunt board and check the slider here every hour so as to keep watch the percentage slide.
I will not wait until it gets too close to the end of the slide to claim the HUNT tokens.
Calculate how many more SP you will have in your powering up in the next couple of days and then claim accordingly to how much percentages are left for you to claim.
I think claiming it at 80% point slide would be good if you know that you will have an increasing amount of SP coming your way.

Later these HUNT tokens can be swapped with SMT-based HUNT tokens when the SMT platform gets launched.

Please note that this airdrop has nothing to do with the SP delegations that you have given to Steemhunt. The airdrop for @steemhunt Sponsors is a different reward program. Some steemians got a bit confused on this matter.

This airdrop is based entirely on the amount of the original SP that you hold regardless of any delegation you have given.
