How to Make a Music Video
Wage War "Stitch"
For this post, I will break down the crucial elements for the video I wrote, directed, and edited for the band WAGE WAR and their song "Stitch".
Let's start with the final result:

*(I just noticed this reached over 1 Million views! WOO!)
As you can see, this is music for headbangers. Headbangers like being gnarly. This is how I approached it.
Make a cool performance area
Shoot on RED. Over crank those frames. Remember kids, Slow motion is cool.

Tell the band you're going to whip pan the camera on a dolly.
Grab the camera and whip pan the camera on the dolly.
Oh yeah, looking gnarly.

Check the monitors.

Need a storyline? Drag the singer down the hall and dump water on him.

Find another gnarly location. We found a swamp.

Explain to the singer you're going to make him run and jump into water all day.
Bonus: Wear rubber boots in a swamp.
Have a crazy guy strap up the singer for special effects shots.

Tell the singer to run.

And Jump.

Get a great shot in slow motion.
