A second "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" reference for the win!
For those who don't know or who simply suspect, this is loosely based on the "Elemental Evil" 5th edition D&D adventure release by Wizards of the Coast. I play a wizard in a party who is in the final stages of that campaign, and this is a section we went through some months ago. The biggest difference between this and our own party's experience was that I snuck under an invisibility spell, and when my presence was eventually discovered by the residents I used "Mage Hand" to trigger the battering ram against one of the cultists in the tower instead of our party. That was followed by a "Fireball" spell that weakened the rest of the first wave so the rest of the party that then charged into the tower cleaned them up with ease. Never underestimate a wizard with good Stealth skills... 😁
