Luego de la llegada a Chile para disfrutar de la compañía de mi hijo, disfrutamos de un maravilloso viaje a fin de conocer una hermosa ciudad llamada Valparaíso, para llegar a este lugar tomamos un bus que realizaría el viaje por alrededor 2 horas y 30 minutos desde Santiago de Chile, seria un tour de un día con diferentes paradas que nos iban a permitir conocer mas a fondo este lugar historico del pais.

After arriving in Chile to enjoy the company of my son, we enjoyed a wonderful trip to see a beautiful city called Valparaíso, to get to this place we took a bus that would make the trip for around 2 hours and 30 minutes from Santiago de Chile, it would be a one-day tour with different stops that would allow us to learn more about this historical place in the country.

Para realizar este viaje adquirimos un tour por un día con un grupo pequeño de personas, la cual contemplaba la visita de los lugares más emblemáticos de Valparaiso. Así que nuestra primera parada fue en el viñedo🍷 Casablanca, aquí conocimos como es la elaboración del vino y los diferentes tipos de uva que se utilizan, la degustacion no pudo faltar (sólo para los mayores), de verdad que fue delicioso y muy aromático, todo hecho en en este sitio.

To make this trip, we bought a one-day tour with a small group of people, which included visiting the most emblematic places in Valparaiso. So our first stop was at the Casablanca vineyard🍷, here we learned about how wine is made and the different types of grapes that are used, the tasting could not be missed (only for the older ones), it really was delicious and very aromatic , all done on this site.

Continuamos con nuestro recorrido, admirando ahora de lejos las siembras de uvas. Ahora nos adentramos a la ciudad, conformadas por calles con bajadas y subidas empinadas, es lo que caracteriza esta hermosa ciudad.

Parte de lo simbólico de Valvaraiso son los diferentes murales, mosaicos, escaleras empinadas, estrechas y muy coloridas con mensajes de libertad que expresan un país libre de dictadura, muchos de estos mensajes fueron realizados por artistas extranjeros. Definitivamente un lugar lleno de arte e inspiración.

Part of what is symbolic of Valvaraiso are the different murals, mosaics, steep, narrow and very colorful stairs with messages of freedom that express a country free of dictatorship, many of these messages were made by foreign artists. Definitely a place full of art and inspiration.

Por ser una ciudad en una montaña nos llamó la atención que para descender drásticamente a nivel del mar lo hicimos a través de un ascensor que está en la propia colina, una experiencia totalmente increíble porque el mismo data de 1883, aunque el trayecto dura unos pocos minutos, fue muy interesante porque de esta manera es que se desciende rápidamente 200 m desde montaña arriba hasta la parte más baja de la ciudad. Todavía funciona con sistema de polea y ya quedan pocos ascensores de este tipo, muchos que ya están en desuso fueron declarados monumentos históricos nacionales y reciben el nombre ascensores funiculares.

Because it is a city on a mountain, what caught our attention is that to descend drastically to sea level we did it through an elevator that is on the hill itself, a totally incredible because it dates back to 1883, although the journey lasts a few minutes, it was very interesting because in this way you quickly descend 200 m from the top of the mountain to the lowest part of the city. It still works with a pulley system and there are few elevators of this type left, many that are already in disuse were declared national historical monuments and are called funicular elevators.

Luego recorrimos la parte baja de la ciudad hasta llegar al muelle, hay vistas hermosas de embarcaciones donde se pueden hacer recorridos por el mar, aunque no lo hicimos pudimos observar que hay muchas preparadas para ese fin. También se puede apreciar buques de guerra, fragatas y hasta submarinos. Este muelle es considerado uno de los principales del país, dónde se desarrolla el comercio nacional y es el puerto donde llega mercancía tanto nacional como internacional.

Then we went through the lower part of the city until we reached the pier, there are beautiful views of boats where you can take tours of the sea, although we did not do it, we could see that there are many prepared for that end. You can also see warships, frigates and even submarines. This dock is considered one of the main docks in the country, where national trade takes place and it is the port where both national and international merchandise arrives.

Luego del muelle seguimos recorriendo y llegamos a uno de los lugares más hermosos donde se pueden apreciar tremendas vistas, como lo es el mirador, aquí se observa toda la costa y hasta la ciudad que queda justo al frente, llamada Viña del Mar y esta ciudad también la recorreremos y mostraremos sus lugares más emblematicos, pero esto será en próximo post.
