En nuestro recorrido por Santiago de Chile, uno de los planes fue realizar la visita al Teleférico, ubicado en el cerro San Cristóbal del parque Metropolitano, una experiencia nueva que queríamos disfrutar.

On our tour of Santiago de Chile, one of the plans was to visit the Cable Car, located on the San Cristobal hill in the Metropolitan Park, a new experience that we wanted to enjoy.

Junto a mi familia, comenzamos el día tomando un colectivo que nos dejaría al frente de la primera estación, pero por cuestiones de desconocimiento de la ruta, éste nos dejó del lado opuesto de la entrada principal al Teleférico, por lo que optamos en emprender una larga caminata para llegar a nuestro objetivo final.

With my family, we started the day taking a bus that would leave us in front of the first station, but for reasons of ignorance of the route, it left us on the opposite side of the main entrance to the cable car, so we chose to undertake a long walk to reach our ultimate goal.

Después de varios minutos nos encontramos con una empleada del parque, la cual nos dio la opción de subir la cerro por otro medio de transporte, que sin saberlo también es una de la grandes atracciones turísticas que posee el parque llamado Funicular, éste transporte es una especie de vagón de tren que asciende y desciende por unos rieles hasta la cima del cerro, sus cabinas son amplias, con ventanas laterales al descubierto y parte superior cubierta por una especie de vidrio que permite disfrutar del viaje con una visión panorámica durante todo el recorrido.

After several minutes we met an employee of the park, which gave us the option to climb the hill by another means of transport, which unknowingly is also one of the great tourist attractions that has the park called Funicular, this transport is a kind of train car that ascends and descends along rails to the top of the hill, their cabins are spacious, with side windows exposed and top covered by a kind of glass that allows you to enjoy the trip with a panoramic view throughout the tour.

El funicular inicia desde la estación Pío Nono y culmina en la estación Cumbre, allí descendimos y nos encontramos con una variedad de opciones para tomar un café, bebidas, snack y hasta tienditas de artesanías para llevarte un recuerdo a casa. Una vez que estas en este punto, la vista de toda la ciudad de Santiago es única, ya que puedes observarla desde varios puntos ópticos.

The funicular starts at the Pío Nono station and ends at the Cumbre station, where we descended and found a variety of options for coffee, drinks, snacks and even craft shops to take a souvenir home. Once you are at this point, the view of the entire city of Santiago is unique, as you can observe it from several optical points.

Mientras tanto nos deleitamos con unos deliciosos jugos naturales antes de emprender nuestro objetivo principal El Teleférico, que sin pensarlo sería ahora de forma descendente, pasando por 3 estaciones: Cumbre, Tapahue y Oasis. Como dato curioso, en cada estación existen otras zonas turísticas como piscinas, zoológico y senderismo, la diversidad de gusto está en un solo lugar.

In the meantime we enjoyed some delicious natural juices before embarking on our main objective, the cable car, which without thinking about it would now be descending, passing through 3 stations: Cumbre, Tapahue and Oasis. As a curious fact, in each station there are other tourist areas such as swimming pools, zoo and hiking, the diversity of taste is in one place.

Ahora nos destinamos a tomar el teleférico para descender el cerro, no hicimos ninguna parada hasta llegar a la parte de abajo. La experiencia fue interesante, nos dio un poco de impresión por la altura, aparte que la cabina posee unas amplias ventanas de vidrios que te hacen sentir que estas volando por una de las ciudades más importantes de Latinoamérica.

Now we went to take the cable car to descend the hill, we did not make any stop until we reached the bottom. The experience was interesting, we were a little impressed by the height, besides the cabin has large glass windows that make you feel like you are flying through one of the most important cities in Latin America.

Fue un día bastante caluroso, agitado, pero lo disfrutamos al máximo, y sin planificarlo tuvimos 2 atracciones en un bonito lugar en familia.
