The future blockchain-enhanced HTC phone will be its second attempt to leverage blockchain technology on its smartphone products. The first product it released that use blockchain technology was Exodus which was released in 2018. Chen revealed that the sales for its Exodus smartphone had met the company’s expectations stating that Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) users and new crypto trading startups had driven the demand for the product considerably. This was made possible through the partnership of IOTA Foundation, the organization behind IOTA tokens as well as automaker Jaguar Land Rover. The initiative will include auto Jaguar’s software engineering center in Shannon, Ireland, which has already integrated the technology to several vehicles.
