Ayer terminé una novela llamada **It ends with us** de Colleen Hoover, **Esto termina con nosotros** en español, y sumergirme en sus páginas fue una montaña rusa de emociones. Montaña rusa. Creo que está un poco gastado, así que diré **mar de emociones**. Lo representa *aun* mejor. Todos los que hemos visitado el mar, hemos admirado su grandeza. Parados en la orilla mirando el horizonte, parece *infinito.* Dentro de sus aguas, flotamos. O nos hundimos. Pero sin duda podemos nadar. Y justo es eso: *nadar*. Eso nos enseña el libro. Su madre la paraliza. Y el miedo paraliza a su madre. Así que ella escribe, a sus casi 16 años, en un diario. Pero no cualquier diario, éste está dirigido a una presentadora famosa de televisión. Se convierte en su desahogo. Hasta que conoce a Atlas. Atlas Corrigan, un estudiante de su escuela y quien pasa por un momento muy triste, descubre en Lily el mejor apoyo y la ***ola*** más grande e importante que tiene en su vida. Juntos llegan a la orilla donde ya no se pueden ahogar. Se convierte en su protector y el primer amor de su vida. Posteriormente Lily conoce a Ryle Kincaid, un neurocirujano exitoso, familiar y con creencias opuestas, que llega a su vida de una manera peculiar: lo conoce en la azotea del edificio más alto. Acá es donde la marea golpea a Lily, e intenta nadar. Se adentra en el inmenso océano. Los personajes son muy humanos, y reales. Lloré un poco por algunos de ellos mientras leía, porque llega hasta el fondo y te cambia. Eso le paso a Lily, y como ella, nos pasa a muchos de nosotros. Situaciones distintas y a la vez parecidas. Momentos donde no sabemos qué hacer. Sintiendo el agua de ese mar infinito taparnos por completo. En el libro, Lily menciona la película animada **Buscando a Nemo**, cuando Marlín (el pez payaso que ha perdido a su hijo, Nemo) está sintiéndose perdido, Dory le dice esta frase: *Sigue nadando, nadando, nadando*. Las personas cuando se sienten ahogadas también necesitan ese recordatorio: *hay que seguir adelante*.

Yesterday I finished a novel called **It ends with us** by Colleen Hoover, and diving into its pages was a roller coaster of emotions. Rollercoaster. I think that's a bit worn, so I'll say **sea of emotions**. It represents it *even* better. All of us who have visited the sea, have admired its grandeur. Standing on the shore looking at the horizon, it seems *infinite.* Within its waters, we float. Or we sink. But we can certainly swim. And that's just it: *swimming*. That's what the book teaches us. Her mother paralyzes her. And fear paralyzes her mother. So she writes, at almost 16 years old, in a diary. But not just any diary, this one is addressed to a famous TV presenter. It becomes her outlet. Until she meets Atlas. Atlas Corrigan, a student at her school and who is going through a very sad moment, discovers in Lily the best support and the biggest and most important *ola* she has in her life. Together they reach the shore where they can no longer drown. He becomes her protector and the first love of her life. Later Lily meets Ryle Kincaid, a successful, family-oriented neurosurgeon with opposing beliefs, who comes into her life in a peculiar way: the rooftop of the tallest building. This is where the tide hits Lily, and she tries to swim. She enters the immense ocean. The characters are very human, and real. I cried a little for some of them as I read, because it gets to the core and changes you. That happened to Lily, and like her, it happens to many of us. Situations that are different and at the same time similar. Moments where we don't know what to do. Feeling the water of that infinite sea completely covering us. In the book, Lily mentions the animated movie **Finding Nemo**, when Marlin (the clown fish who has lost his son, Nemo) is feeling lost, Dory tells him this phrase: *Keep swimming, swimming, swimming*. People when they feel drowned also need that reminder: *you have to keep going*.

Because there are as many seas as there are problems, but the waves can be many, many more.
