One of the parameters that the Hive Music Festival judges evaluate is tuning. Tuning is a process similar to tuning a radio. If you have seen an old radio it has a knob that you turn and adjust to the exact frequency. In that search for the station many times, the sound is not clear, but if you adjust it with precision and accuracy the sound is just right and virtuous. To tune is to adjust a sound to the correct frequency. To improve intonation, two factors must be combined, ear training and good vocal technique. Tuning requires that we train our auditory apparatus in order to recognize musical notes and different rhythmic patterns. To tune it is important to train your ear to recognize notes, intervals, scales and chords. An effective way is to imitate the sound of a musical instrument such as a piano, a tuner or an app on your phone. One exercise you can do is to recognize intervals, for example, when playing the notes C and F on the piano, you must recognize the distance between degrees. Si has visto una radio antigua esta tiene un botón que debes girar y ajustar en la frecuencia exacta. En esa búsqueda de la emisora muchas veces, el sonido no es claro, pero si lo ajustas con precisión y exactitud el sonido es justo y virtuoso. Afinar es ajustar un sonido a la frecuencia correcta. Para mejorar la afinación se deben combinar dos factores, el entrenamiento auditivo y la buena técnica vocal. La afinación requiere que entrenemos nuestro aparato auditivo con el fin de reconocer las notas musicales y los diferentes patrones rítmicos. Para afinar es importante entrenar tu oído para reconocer notas, intervalos, escalas y acordes. Una manera eficaz es imitar el sonido de un instrumento musical como el piano, un afinador o una aplicación en tu teléfono. Un ejercicio que puedes llevar a cabo es reconocer intervalos, por ejemplo, al tocar en el piano las notas Do y Fa, debes reconocer la distancia que existen entre grados. En este caso una cuarta justa, un intervalo que contiene dos tonos y un semitono._

There are great advantages to living in a communal musical environment. Children living in such environments easily develop the ability to tune. Now there are differences between tuning and intonation. Intonation is singing in tune. Intonation depends on your ear training and your vocal technique. If you have proper breath control you can have good intonation. If you do diaphragmatic breathing exercises, it will help you not to be short of breath, or have excess air pressure. Posture is essential because it facilitates the flow of air. Practice standing with your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Relaxation is key. Many times we are loaded with stress, we have tensions in our body that do not allow us to tune. You can listen to relaxing music, stretch your body, yawn and meditate. Always warm up your voice before singing, and at the end do relaxation exercises. Get enough rest and hydrate with plenty of water. If you need help, take singing lessons, watch tutorials and avoid straining your voice.

_Existen grandes ventajas cuando se vive en un entorno musical comunitario. Los niños que viven en esos entornos desarrollan fácilmente la capacidad para afinar. Ahora existen diferencias entre afinar y entonar. Entonar es cantar afinado. La entonación depende de tu entrenamiento auditivo y de tu técnica vocal. Si tienes un control adecuado de la respiración puedes tener una buena afinación. Si haces ejercicios de respiración diafragmática, te ayudará a que no te falte el aire, o a que no tengas exceso de presión de aire. La postura es esencial porque facilita el flujo de aire. Practica estando de pie, con la espalda recta y los hombros relajados. La relajación es clave. Muchas veces estamos cargados de estrés, tenemos tensiones en nuestro cuerpo que no nos permiten afinar. Puedes escuchar música relajante, estirar el cuerpo, bostezar y meditar. Siempre calienta tu voz antes de cantar, y al finalizar has ejercicios de relajación. Descansa lo suficiente e hidrátate con suficiente agua. Si necesitas ayuda, toma clases de canto, observa tutoriales y evita forzar la voz._
