Así ocurre con el día 24 de marzo de 1976, fecha en la que un golpe militar se apropia del poder y que a la postre marcaría una de las etapas más tristes, dolorosas y oscuras de la vida de nuestra querida Argentina. A la hora de analizar, de contar los echos debemos dar una visión amplia sin sesgos y despojada de toda subjetividad independientemente del lugar que cada uno ocupó por aquellos años. Para ello es necesario conocer la coyuntura de aquella época para entender como fue posible que el golpe militar que terminó con el derrocamiento del gobierno de María Estela Martínez de Perón y José López Rega. Recordemos que luego del fallecimiento de Domingo Perón en 1974, el gobierno se encontraba inmerso en una gran crisis económica y social que luego de la aplicación de medidas económicas antipopulares terminaron en el famoso Rodrigazo en el año 1975 que no era más que un agresivo plan de ajuste "sugerido" por el FMI que terminó en un gran estallido social. Recordemos también que en aquellos años hubo un gran avance de la guerrilla lideradas por el grupo Montoneros y del ERP, que sirvieron de una excusa perfecta para poder justificar el a través de un golpe cívico militar y perfeccionar el golpe de estado. El gobierno de facto a cargo del General Videla sostenía que su objetivo era liderar un movimiento de reorganización nacional cuyos principales objetivos eran acomodar la situación económica a cargo de Martinez de Hoz y combatir fuertemente a los movimientos subversivos desplegados por grupos como Montoneros y el ERP. Hasta aquí les he dado un breve pantallazo del contexto en el cual se lleva adelante esta triste etapa de nuestra historia. No debemos perder de vista que en por esos años la mayoría de los gobiernos latinoamericanos estaban gobernados por gobiernos militares de facto, que se sospecha fueron financiados por los Estados Unidos para eliminar del mapa cualquier aparición de movimientos socialistas o comunistas. Así el gobierno militar comenzó una cruel cacería la cual caracterizó por la desaparición forzada de un gran número de personas que ellos pensaban podían constituir algún tipo de amenazas para mantenerse en el poder y le impidiera continuar con su plan de tortura y aniquilamiento de la población. Quien no oyó hablar de los famosos Falcon verdes con los cuales secuestraban a personas inocentes, las torturaban y en el mejor de los casos los mataban. Quien no oyó hablar de la apropiación ilegal de niños, acción que nada tenía que ver con su finalidad política, sino que constituía parte del ejercicio del terrorismo de estado. Quien no conocía en aquellos años a alguna víctima de atentados causados por Montoneros. Sin dudas su objetivo era sacar de la calle a todos aquellos que pudiesen llegar a movilizar protestas contra el gobierno y por esa razón muchos sindicalistas y dirigentes políticos fueron secuestrados y asesinados. En medio de tanta violencia y de tanto dolor surge la figura de las Madres y las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo que una vez por semana marchaban con pañuelos blancos en sus cabezas con sus brazos entrelazados exigiendo la aparición con vida de sus hijos y nietos. Las Madres y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo creo yo el símbolo de lucha y fortaleza nacidas en una época muy terrible y dolorosa de nuestro país. La Guerra de Malvinas fue el manotazo de ahogados que el gobierno militar ya debilitado intentó para poder sumar popularidad y poder revertir una caída que por esos días era inevitable.
