Splinterlands Co-founder/CEO Jesse “aggroed” Reich assembled the Splinterns in Discord and presented us with our goal for the summer: build an NFT marketplace for the #1 blockchain game in the world, Splinterlands. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/splintern/GNDygdfJ-image.png) During the internship period, The Splinterns met every weekday on Discord voice channels to discuss the project and ensure the team remained on the same page. Aggroed filled our Discord with some of the top minds in the space to act as advisors and point us towards resources. Moving forward, we’re going to continue to develop and promote SplintX, as much as we can in between classes, because we believe we have even more value to add to the Splinterlands ecosystem and player experience. We want SplintX to be the one-stop-shop for all Splinterlands information; we plan on adding in depth card, player, market and game statistics, as well as new player and strategy guides among other features. The “Splinternship” Program is just another example of the many ways Splinterlands is innovating. Blockchain gaming is an important avenue to mainstream adoption and it’s up to students like us to carry the torch so the flame can continue to grow. We believe it is crucial that resources are invested into the next-generation of crypto builders/users. We’re thankful for the support we have received from the gracious Splinterlands community since the inception of the project. What seemed like a long-shot at the beginning of Summer is concrete reality and we’re all grateful for the opportunity Aggy and Splinterlands have given us.
