For me, today was a quiet Thursday, I went out to buy some groceries and everything else was relatively calm. Despite the rains and the occasional loss of electricity, the intermittent loss of the cell phone signal (the only one I have at home) and the slowness of the Internet signal (when there is a signal)... well, despite From all that, I can say that it was not a bad day, it had its complications and details that were a bit annoying, but there are people who are having a much worse time than me right here, in short, it is not to rejoice for being less miserable than others, but it is about accepting reality and trying to keep your spirits up despite being very clear about the reality in which you live.

By the way: Today is International Asteroid Day, declared in 2016 by the #UN, in commemoration of the Tunguska Event, which occurred in 1908. It is believed to be the largest impact of an asteroid in our human #history registered. For years there has been speculation about how strange the characteristics of the Event are, there was talk of a test of weapons of mass destruction, alien weapons, circular lightning, electromagnetic aberrations that imploded and many other things. For now, the most accepted theory is that it was an asteroid with a high metal content and rare earths, which, being hyperheated when entering the atmosphere, unleashed an explosion (even before reaching the ground) and devastated a large area of land, in fact, more than 100 years have passed and still no trees grow in the circular space burned by the Event.

The fear that something like this will happen again, but in a populated area or in an even bigger way, is a recurring theme in many #movies, the one I remember the most at the moment is Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis. In the plot, a group of civilians was recruited for a practically suicidal mission, to intercept a huge #asteroid on a collision course with the earth, to drill into its surface, place atomic explosive charges and try to deflect it enough for humanity to survive. . It was very entertaining, personally, it's not the kind of movie that changes the history of cinema or becomes a great classic, but I think it was good, anyway, I enjoyed it at the time and I liked the #musical theme.

Para mí, hoy fue un jueves tranquilo, salí a comprar algunos víveres y todo lo demás estuvo en relativa calma. A pesar de las lluvias y de la perdida ocasional del servicio eléctrico, la caída intermitente de señal de telefonía celular (la única que tengo en casa) y la lentitud de la señal de Internet (cuando hay señal)... bueno, a pesar de todo eso, puedo decir que no fue un mal día, tuvo sus complicaciones y detalles un poco molestos, pero hay gente que la está pasando mucho peor que yo por acá mismo, en fin, que no es para alegrarse por estar menos miserable que otros, pero se trata de aceptar la realidad y procurar mantener el ánimo a pesar de estar muy claro sobre la realidad en la que se vive.

Por cierto: Hoy es el Día Internacional de los Asteroides, declarado en 2016 por la #ONU, en conmemoración del Evento de Tunguska, ocurrido en 1908. Se trata de lo que se cree que fue el mayor impacto de un asteroide en nuestra historia humana registrada. Durante años se ha tenido especulaciones por lo raro que son las características del Evento, se habló de una prueba de armas de destrucción masiva, de armas alienígenas, de relámpagos circulares, de aberraciones electromagnéticas que implosionaron y otras muchas cosas. Por ahora, la teoría más aceptada es que se trató de un asteroide de alto contenido metálico y de tierras raras, que al ser hipercalentado al entrar en la atmosfera, desató una explosión (incluso antes de llegar al suelo) y arrasó una gran extensión de terreno, de hecho, han pasado más de 100 años y aún no crecen árboles en el espacio circular quemado por el Evento.

El miedo de que algo así ocurra nuevamente, pero en una zona poblada o que ocurra de una manera incluso más grande, es un tema recurrente en muchas películas, la que más recuerdo en este momento es la de Armagedón, con la actuación de Bruce Willis. En la trama, un grupo de civiles era reclutado para una misión prácticamente suicida, interceptar, un enorme asteroide en camino de colisión con la tierra, para perforar en su superficie, colocar cargas explosivas atómicas y tratar de desviarlo lo suficiente como para que humanidad sobreviviera. Fue bien entretenida, en lo personal, no es del tipo de películas que cambian la historia del cine o se vuelven un gran clásico, pero creo que fue buena, en fin, que la disfruté en su momento y me gustó el tema musical.
