The innovations on the FreeCompliments Community don’t stop! We’re now taking our curation to the next level, as promised several months ago. Introducing @fc-curation, an account that will be run by one of our members and myself. You may have already seen it making the rounds on the community page. ## The fc-curation account This account will receive a delegation from @hive-140084 (the community account) and this will be used to curate posts, comments, and threads as previously outlined. The benefit of using a separate account is that we’ll be able to earn more HSBI Units and create posts from both the community account and the curation account, thus increasing the earning potential, and ultimately the curation potential, of the entire community. This account creates a daily post outlining which posts have been curated. It will use the 50/50 method of earning HBD and HP; HBD will be converted to Hive and transferred to @steembasicincome for HSBI Units. At least initially, this aspect will be done by myself as I try to balance out the earnings on both this account and the community account. Over time, the HSBI will pay itself off. Some HP will also be delegated to @dhedge so that it can earn DVS, which will help increase rewards on the daily posts. We’ll also funnel DVS earned from similar delegations that are currently active with @hive-140084 and my own personal account. A portion of the earnings from the daily post will go to @artist-freepae, who generously committed to submitting the posts and providing the curation service. We’ll continuously work out the details to ensure that curation is being provided fairly, with emphasis on quality content, inclusive of posts, comments, and threads. The FC Community account will start increasing its delegation to the curation account rather quickly, so you’re going to see the rewards start piling up as you post, comment, and thread more. Let the snowball effect begin! ## Curation Trail In order to bring even more power to our curation, we’re introducing a curation trail using the @fc-curation account. You can join this curation trail on hive.vote. Now, this is not going to be your ordinary curation trail. This is the first curation trail that comes with its own rewards: at the beginning of every month, I will send 1 HSBI Unit to every member who is on the curation trail. You got that right – just for following the curation account’s voting trail, you’ll earn HSBI every month. By increasing our total voting power, we believe that this will serve as an incentive to promote quality content and encourage new members who may not otherwise receive many votes. By following our trail, you’re telling us that you entrust our judgment of quality, and we think that’s worth paying you HSBI. With the above settings, if fc-curation gives a post a 100% upvote, then I will give a 50% vote (through the @freecompliments account) with 0 wait time, i.e. instantaneously. This will amount to a maximum of 1 vote per day, and likely less than 7 per week since I don’t post every day. You should be fully aware of this prior to joining the curation trail. I would also like to proclaim that this is not intended to be a vote-farming scheme. Curation provided by this account will always remain manual, and the HSBI rewards given to those on the curation trail are part of our goal to encourage mutual growth. All users, new or old, those with little or a lot of HP, will all benefit equally from the rewards. ## Future Curation Plans As our growth continues, we may end up having more curatable content than one person can handle. Thus, we tentatively plan to introduce more curation accounts, one to handle posts, one to handle comments, and one to handle threads.
