Anarchapulco Design Contest Entry Extension - Take Your Time with Your Grand Design

So far we have only had seven Steemians enter the contest with ten total entries. With only another day or so before the original contest entry article pays out, and such few entries, we do not yet have enough contestants to create a top five. As a result I have decided to extend the contest entry time another week before we select a top five, to give other artists more time to enter. There are a lot of design contests occurring simultaneously currently, so extending the entry period for this one should give other artists that have been busy, ample time to create their design and make a submission.

Extending the contest entry time will also mean a larger prize pool for the winners, since there will be more post payouts to donate, from more contest articles that I create during the extended period. At the same time, I will only write as many articles as the contest requires, so I am not taking from @tribesteemup's VP more than absolutely necessary. There are ton of deserving quality content creators in our tribe, and I want to make sure everyone still gets what they deserve, including the winners of this contest! Balance is the key.

If you would like to enter a design for this contest, please click here to get to the entry post, which includes an expansive description of the contest. If you can no longer re-steem the entry article to enter, please re-steem this one instead if you can. Also please, click here for more information about what the #anarchapulco conference actually is, a more in depth explanation of what anarchy itself is, the different kinds of anarchy, and their respective principals.

We have had some good entries, with my favorite so far being @edurley's submission (2/3 pictured above), who actually made three entries. I really like how he used Mayan symbolism from Acapulco's local culture/history. I would like to see more use of the actual anarchy symbol from more contestants if possible (pictured below).

Using the anarchy symbol or one of its variants as the first letter "A" in Anarchapulco for contest designs is definitely preferred FYI. It is probably not a bad idea to incorporate black and gold colors either, considering those are the main colors of anarcho-capitalism. I would also recommend orange, and other anarcho-mutualist references, as the two types of anarchy are closely related (check out this article for more info on the different kinds of anarchy).

A huge thank you to every artists that is taking the time to enter these design contests. I would like to see a few other artists I know participate if they can make time for it, including @baa.steemit, @themonkeyzuelans, @edxserverus, @psylanthropist, @holisticmom, @escuetapamela, @manuelruiz21 and everyone else that participated in the @tribesteemup design contest.

Another BBBBIIIIIIIGGGG THANK YOU to @tribesteemup and @kennyskitchen for sponsoring both of these contests. All this would not be possible unless we all work together the way we have been. Showing support as synergism on this Platform is one of Steemit's best features. I hope this contest, along with all the interactions within, is a shining example of this. Steemit is about community over money, never the reverse.

This contest is too important to only allow one week of entry time. I feel like most contest creators default to a seven day submission limit, since that is how long it takes for a post to pay out, which is convenient ~ no doubt. However it seems my M.O. for design contests is that mine take a while to finish, but that is ok. I would rather see a greater turnout, with a larger number of quality entries, than have a quicker contest any day. Really my contests go exactly as long as they need to, and there is nothing more appropriate than that.

But you will have to excuse me, I gotta do some surgery with some words and sentences, and breathe in some divine essence. Please reach out if you have any further questions or suggestions.

Blessing everyone & stay tuned - into the right frequencies
