Recently these little monuments popped up in my local park, at first i thought it was some kind of vigilante artist making their mark, but after a while a sign popped up explaining the reason behind it all.

These little houses are made from terracotta and could be there for a while as long as they are not vandalised, so far i found 2 spots where they are present but the park is quite big so i would expect there to be more.

I was quite surprised to learn that these little houses are in memoriam to those that were lost during a raid in WWI, each house represents a life that was lost with the size indicative of men, women and children's lives lost, i was completely unaware that a bombing ever happened here and was happy to learn the history of my local area.
