~ Western Tiger Swallowtail ~

This is the 2nd Butterfly in this set of 10 insect (& one spider) art panels that I created for the Burien Vision 20/20 art event last year - up in Washington State.  This butterfly is the Western Tiger Swallowtail.  This is another fairly common butterfly here in Oregon.  In fact I see this butterfly much more often than I see Monarch butterflies. 

Each insect was drawn in with a fine-tip sharpie marker, and then painted using acrylic paint & iridescent acrylic inks.
