Here is my entry for the initiative LEARN & EARN, hosted by @matkodurko

This was a fun week of learning, nothing like the previous week, where a couple of the stuff I learned was dark and disgusting... This week, I will only share interesting facts:
Monday | There are no street cats in Vienna. It looks like Austria decided to get rid of stray cats in their cities. That's all very interesting... but if you're going to get rid of the cats, you better love rats. I saw plenty of rats freely wandering in the city center. Personally, I'm more fond of cats, but to each its own. | ![]() |
Tuesday | Water Fountains and Ponds are all Empty. Across the city I saw a lot of fountains and ponds... unfortunately, they were all empty, all dried up, without a single drop of water. I don't know if this happens just on Winter or if there's any other reason. Google wasn't very helpful. | ![]() |
Wednesday | Having a lunch or just an afternoon snack in Vienna will cost you roughly the same, between 13€ and 20€. So, if you're hungry, you might as well help yourself with a complete meal. | ![]() |
Thursday | One of my favourite Metal bands - Infected Rain - has recently signed a contract with Napalm Records - one of the best Recording Companies in this genre. I'm sure a World Tour is not far away now. | ![]() |
Friday | I've learnt a few more Russian Words with Duolingo, like, for example, the Seasons of the Year: Весна, Лето, Осень и Зима. | ![]() |
Saturday | Archaeologists found the oldest tattooing tool ever discovered in North America: a 2,000-year-old tattoo needle which still has ink on the tip. | ![]() |
