Looking up at the sky the other night, I saw this star beside the moon. Now, I don’t know much about astrology and I am not going to pretend to, but a reliable source told me that the star beside the moon is actually the planet Venus.
And I was told this is as about as near as they can be. They will be further apart each night until there is a new moon again.
If you were into astronomy, you would have fun watching these two as they set in the night, and for the next couple of nights. The newer the moon, the earlier it set. As the moon progresses from new to full, it will set later each night.
In this picture, you will also see Benalmadena Pueblo – Pueblo meaning village or small town. The Pueblo is up on the mountainside. It is on the left side of the picture - just above the street light. One can see the village lights shimmering in the evening.
Here you see them just before they disappear behind the apartment block.
And this was last night. Venus all by herself.
And the amazing thing is, I saw all this from my balcony and the pictures were taken with my simple handphone camera.
