Mr Crackles
Do you like pork? Do you like crackling? Well, this place is most certainly for you to try. They do a variety of meals relating to roast meats, especially pork, as well as hot dogs, but the meal I was there for is actually listed under 'Hot Dogs and Sides'. The Crispy Pork Nacho Fries. It's $13, but it's a decent sized tray of chips, covered in cheese, a bolognaise sauce, sour cream, and pork belly with crackling.
Whose crazy idea was it to put this awesome meat on top of all these other tasty things?
The meat was super tender, and the chips were a good mix of crunchy outside and soaked in flavourful toppings. I'm not a huge fan of sour cream, but it mixed in pretty well and when I'd finished there wasn't much of any of the sauces left in the package.
The store doesn't have a huge amount of seating space, with just a short bench and a few stools on each side, but there are some parks not too far away that you could wander to. You'll certainly need the exercise after devouring this deliciousness.
