Poetry Digest - Edition Twenty-Three
Welcome back to the Poetry Digest brought to you by @wandrnrose7! We took a week hiatus to allow Steemit dust to settle since many steemians were not able to post following the HF20 updates. Still unsure what Hard Fork 20s purpose was? I found a good article posted last year by @markymark on the nuts and bolts.
Hardfork20 Purpose
That said, this edition may be our best ever!. There were so many poems this week we love! Please enjoy reading and show some love and upvotes to our poets. Now on to our poems!
@kaerpediem shares a poem by @joeylim prompted by come together:
We live in a time where everything has a fix. Even if it doesn't need a fix. And then there's a price on it. So we set out goals, we work towards it. We want it. So bad. Everything has been spelt out for us. We just need to get it now. Isn't that what it's all about? Or maybe not. Maybe all of that is just an ...Well, I'll let @joeylim give you the answer.
@wonderwop brings a delightful review of a poem written by @kimberlylane using the prompt remote.
I ran across this beautiful poem, on the prompt, remote from @kimberlylane, about a piece of property that was going up for auction. She wrote about the meticulous care of the home, by the previous owners. The beautiful garden, the feeding of the birds, and the fun times fishing for salmon. All these memories will be forgotten, with the banging of the gavel. Great read! 👏
@seifiro brings us a poem by @dranuvar sparked by the prompt music.
I feel the poem from @dranuvar very touching and melancholy. It reached inside me. Is simple and brilliant as a silver ring. I'm actually in that represa/sad mood that I look for poetry who draw the feelings that I cannot see for myself. That is because I recomend his poem: because he archive what a poem has to archive: make feel something to someone else even if that person is far away.
@kimberlylane also shares her thoughts on this poem by @dranuvar:
May I recommend as favorite freewrite poem for the week, Echo by @dranuvar
The poem is succinct, no filler or cliché’, has a great rhythm in smoothness like the waves he speaks of, the silence in between reverberates for me.
Our freewriter @aislingcronin shares a beautiful and upbeat poem on freedom.
Her descriptions will uplift your heart with joy and hope. I encourage everyone to go and experience the poem for yourself!
@kaerpediem spins a different take on the prompt vinyl worthy of considering. We are left to wonder about the times as they change and long for the old ways.
Become fully immersed in this very well crafted poem written by @moofang using prompt running in place. I was pulled in by rich imagery and left feeling breathless and I identified with the poet’s flight.
I hope you enjoyed these poems. If the poem is past payout, please find a recent post to share a vote and comment to support these lovely poets!
