Grapevine. The grapevine at work is strong. Everyone knows what is going on, usually before the person involved does. Last time a department needed a new manager, it was common knowledge around the store who was getting the promotion 6 full days before anything was announced officially. How does news spread so quick. The grapevine is a good may of describing this process. It spreads out and one person share to the next, and then they tell three more people, and then before you know it, everyone knows.
Is this a good thing - not really. Beyond just idle gossip, a lot of info that comes "from the grapevine" is actually no ones business. It is personal information, rumours and spreading such info can be harmful. I choose to be the branch of the grapevine that doesn't spread out. If information is spread to me, I choose to not blab it on to the next person. It is unfair that people don't get to hear through the proper channels first, particularly if the information is important or relevant to their future.

I'm a bit stuck with this free write, my mind is not clear. Anyway, time is up so that's the end of a pretty average free write - not my best effort certainly.
