This is my entry for @anomadsoul's 'Get To Know Me'-challenge. These 10 articles I selected from my blog will give you a chance to get to know me better.

Kïlling Time
2 days ago, I was nominated by @wizardave to take part in @anomadsoul's 'Get To Know Me'-challenge. (Read all about the challenge and the rules here)
@anomadsoul set up this challenge as a way to pass the time while we're all in time-out, barely able to vote and comment and impatiently waiting for our RC and VM to recharge.
I didn't doubt for a second when I was asked to join; I really need some distraction. The HF20 has raised so many questions, I don't even know if I should post, vote and comment or not.
And this challenge was the perfect getaway. The assignment was to go back in time. To browse your own blog and to find and showcase 5 to 10 articles of which you would like that everyone would read them, so they could get to know you a little better.
So off I went...

A Trip Down Memory Lane
Although this account states that it was created in January 2018, I went back to two months before that.
Maybe you know, maybe you don't, but I started on SteemIt with the impossible username @mike314-0005 back in November 2017. Two months and about a thousand misspellings of my own username later I decided to create this account and start all over with a simpler username.
I've written quite a lot of posts in those 10 months, so it took me quite some time to go over them all again.
Below you can find my selection.

Get To Know Me

The Negative Effect Of SteemIt On My Self-Esteem
My first straight-from-the-heart post on Steemit, in which I wrote about how I had lost my love for writing. And about being so intimidated by all those top notch writers on SteemIt, that I didn't know if I was going to stick around a lot longer.
Some things never change. Still, I stayed. :0)

My 2018 Veggie Patch... I'm All Ready To Go, But Will It Ever Happen?
My very first gardening post of the year, about all hopes and dreams, but also about the fear that nothing would go through after finding out I needed to get surgery.

SteemIt Isn't About The Money... Not Anymore!
A post I wrote not very long after I realized that SteemIt was more a community than a blogging platform. I had experienced my first engagements and reported on how SteemIt helped me to battle the demons in my life.

So Many SteemIt Contradictions... I’m Completely Lost :0(
A desperate cry for clarification. How confused I was about the discrepancy between quality posts and earnings. The first time I realized SteemIt was just as fucked up as the rest of the world.

I'm My Own Worst Enemy - Self-Critisism & Fear Of Failure
No explanation needed. The title says it all.

🏆 [CONTEST] Appreciate Your Fellow Steemians And Win Free SBD
I launched the first appreciation contest on my birthday. It was a huge success, and comments of appreciation kept coming all week long. It was definitely the happiest week of the year for me.

Do You Have What It Takes? Does SteemIt?? (Some Random Thoughts)
In this post, I wonder about the reward system, and look back at a famous #sharkschool post that made me realize that personality is an important key to success here on SteemIT. Of course, as always, I wonder if I have what it takes...

🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge (With Steem-Bounty!)
The first edition of the 'SteemIt Communinty Garden Journal 2018 Challenge'.
Gardening was such an important part of my life that I wanted to share some of it with the community. I came up with the idea of hosting a monthly contest for gardeners. It's still running, and up until know, we have always seen a lot of very nice garden updates.

My Rant: 105 Known Phishing Domains, And Still You Don't Give A F**k???!
My one and only rant, lol. It doesn't happen very often that I will show people my rage, but I was so pissed that day...
I had been a victim of a scam a couple of weeks earlier, and I was giving all I had to raise awareness. Somehow, I felt like everyone else just didn't care.
ULOG #1: Happiness Is Just Around The Corner
My very first Ulog, in which I report about a 24 hours-holiday in a nearby village.
The fact that I could write a #ulog was refreshing.

How Music Changed My Life - Part 1
Maybe not one of my best articles, but definitely one of the posts I enjoyed writing the most. It tells the story of how I, as a good, nice girl, heard Bodycount's album 'Copkiller' album for the first time, and the immense effect that had on me and the rest of my life.

OOPS!
Oops, I seem to have miscalculated. There are 11 posts, instead of 10.
But all are very personal. If you follow my blog, you know I don't write very personal posts often.
When I was looking for posts that would fit this challenge, it struck me how few there actually were.
And I decided I should do it more often. Because they're not only my most personal posts, they're also often my best posts.
Again, I've learned that there's a huge difference between posts I write from the heart, and the ones I think I should write.
For the ones that made it all the way through, I hope you enjoyed reading my earlier writings and got to know me a little better.

Nominations
According to the rules of the challenge, we have to nominate three people to join the fun.
I nominate, let's see... @lynncoyle1, @insideoutlet and @jaynie
(I really wanted to add @abh12345 and @davemccoy to the list of nominees, but I don't remember reading a lot of posts that would fit the challenge-theme. If I'm mistaking, feel free to join too!)
You can read the rules for the challenge in the original post by @anomdsoul.
