My 2022 Bucket List.

When I think of "bucket lists," I think of a life's goals, the things one wants to do before the final sayonara, that's all she wrote, buh bye forever kind of thing. There's a bleakness to that prospect. But here we are asked to write about what we would like to have done before the year 2022 kicks its bucket. Since there will be another year following this one, a time limited bucket list is much happier fare.

First, I want to get another dog.

I've lost a few of them recently to early demises. I haven't had the pleasure of an elderly dog, one that has been in my life for ten or more years, going gracefully over the rainbow bridge. Why are so many of our pets dying so young?! Since it seems a crapshoot that any dog will make it that far these days, I think this is the year for me to fulfill a wish of mine, that of adopting an elderly dog, and living out that dog's final days caring for a pet that has lost its loving home, and has found itself in a shelter, unwanted because everyone wants younger dogs. I know my heart would instantly go out to this animal and am tearing up here just thinking about it. 2022 is the year.

Here's a gallery of the three dogs I have lost recently, all of them under ten.

Oh dear that has left me downright bereft! On to something happier.

I have long had a dream of singing a solo in a musical. The problem with this dream was that I couldn't sing! I've taken care of that problem over the past ten years, and feel strongly that 2022 is the year I will be up on a stage, belting it out, and acting it up, for an attentive audience. I just got involved with a local community theater that has welcomed me heartily, and plans two musical productions this year. I'm already working on my audition piece.

How fun is this, thinking about what I would like to get done this year?!

Here's a final submission: I want to get a proper camera, and to learn how to use it. All my self-taken photos for posts have been taken on my android stupid phone. I have been having trouble getting photos from my phone to my computer ever since a recent update (erg), and have had to resort to previously used photos, or public domain photos, for the past month or more. Boring!!! I prefer to use my own images. I really do enjoy tinkering even with my stupid phone's images, to make them swanky and interesting. Imagine what I could do with a real camera!

Oh! Oh! I keep thinking of other things I'd like to do! So just one more!

I'm a bit embarrassed that I still use a microsoft OS, so a new computer is now on my 2022 bucket list as well. I've tried to learn more about Linux, but all of the guides people have sent me start right out over my head. I walked into Best Buy a while back to see if any of those geeks could help me, and the answer was "we don't do that." I've gotten the same answer from a few computer repair and sales places. Is there anyone here who can help direct me so that I can finally cross that goal off my bucket list?

Thanks so much for reading my musings. I love each and every one of you.
