You're not wrong in your summary of 18th Century Russia, but in regards to "rejecting the modern revolution," Catherine was the one who partially changed that. She was determined to make Russia a "European Country."

As for your assessment of Catherine as a prostitute, that's not far from the truth either, 😅 but history is not that concerned about that because despite her sex life, she did in fact strengthen Russia's status in Europe and Asia.
