Ruleset strategy / analysis: Aimless

Ruleset strategy.gif

Introduction

This week the Aimless ruleset. Not a favorite of mine this makes battles very unpredictable.
It certainly can give you some nice entertainment in watching the battles, some with many lucky strikes.
Mostly I try to avoid monster or summoners with scattershot.

This ruleset can also be forced by using summoner:

Same reason why I don't like the Aimless ruleset I also dislike this summoner because of the unpredictable battles

Ruleset

All friendly Monsters receive the Scattershot ability at the start of the battle, which affects Ranged and Magic attacks, melee attacks still use normal targeting rules)

Abilities Synergies

All range and magic attack monsters are heavily impacted.
I try to find monsters with extra shield especially in combination with monsters or summoner that got void armor .
I like the monsters with double strike like the

Strategies

There are 3 options that cross my mind

  • Counter play and focus fire with a strong melee team with sneak opportunity
  • Magic setup
  • Ranged with magic protect

The magic team is somewhat risky because often magic has low health.
In the preferred team section I will give an example per suggestion

Select - Preferred teams

Really depended on other factors like:

  • Other rulesets
  • Mana cap
  • What you opponent is often playing
  • What cards and level do you own/rent

Here are some setups that I like to play. Viewed with the levels and stats that I own.

Summoner#1#2#3#4#5#6

Strong anti magic.
It will use the scattershot in combination with with doublestrike

Summoner#1#2#3#4#5#6

Magic team, the taunt will have not much impact it still has high health and 3 damage in combination with Obsidian.

Summoner#1#2#3#4#5#6

This team is more a counter play. I like to use with lots of melee to ignore the randomness of the scattershot.

Avoid

Avoid monster or summoners that that already have scattershot like

Also monster with taunt are not useful at least not for there taunt ability, monster like:

This is battle where it just luck imo, pretty similar setups just did not waist many attacks on the chaos agent which is luck and quite some attacks with blast in the middle.

This battle show how taunt because less useful.
