September is gone and we are starting the last quarter of the year. In the locality where I live last month it was of extreme temperatures, contradictorily something that usually does not happen at this time of the year became something normal, to have a strong sun with an intense heat and then a rain of a few minutes that suffocated more for the evaporation of the warm ground. But there were also days when not a drop of rain fell to pacify the heat, I do not know what was worse.

This situation was reflected in my plants whose leaves began to fall, some did not resist and perished. I had already told you that I spent a few days at my mom's house so my garden was a little neglected this month that just ended.

Only my desert rose (adenium) remained in bloom.

When I got home I was sad to see the conditions of my plants and how the weather did not help. However, I got to work and began to rescue it little by little, watering it frequently, feeding it with my recycled coffee fertilizer and water from boiled vegetable shells (banana, carrot and potato).

I also started to collect water barrels from the scarce rain, placing containers on the porch to collect the water and thus being able to water my plants with the best vitamin, which for me is rainwater. I do not know what this water has but it makes them more beautiful and rescues them immediately.

I have obtained good results since at the end of the month my plants have begun to flower and their leaves are greener. The soursop surprised me with a fruit that is growing, I also dared to sow sunflowers and these have germinated in record time. I replanted chives because the ones I had did not resist. I think that soon I will be showing you beautiful sunflowers. 🌻🌻🌻

This month of October is special for me because I turn my second anniversary on Hive, the last months I have learned more about the platform and I have known communities that have allowed me to feel at home and share with you pleasant experiences like the ones we enjoy in Hive Garden.

Mi jardín en septiembre resistiendo al sol y la lluvia

Septiembre se ha ido y estamos empezando el último trimestre del año. En la localidad donde vivo el mes pasado fue de temperaturas extremas, contradictoriamente algo que por lo general no se da en esta época del año pasó a ser algo normal, tener un sol fuerte con un calor intenso y luego una lluvia de pocos minutos que sofocaba más por la evaporación del cálido suelo. Pero también hubo días donde no caía ni una gota de lluvia que apaciguara el calor, no se qué era peor.

Esta situación se vio reflejada en mis plantas cuyas hojas empezaron a caerse, algunas no resistieron y perecieron. Ya les había comentado que pasé unos días en casa de mi mamá por lo que mi jardín estuvo un poco descuidado este mes que recién culminó.

Sólo mi rosa del desierto (adenium) permaneció en flor.

Cuando regresé a casa me daba tristeza ver las condiciones de mis plantas y como el clima no ayudó. Sin embargo, me puse manos a la obra y comencé a rescatarla poco a poco, regandolas con frecuencia, nutriendolas con mi abono de café reciclado y agua de conchas de verduras hervidas (plátano, zanahoria y papa).

También comencé a recolectar tobos de agua de la escasa lluvia, colocando envases en el alero de la casa para recoger el agua y así poder regar mis plantas con la mejor vitamina, que para mí es el agua de lluvia. No se qué tiene esta agua pero las pone más bonitas y las rescata enseguida.

He obtenido buenos resultados ya que al final del mes mis plantas han comenzado a florecer y sus hojas están más verdes. La guanábana me sorprendió con un fruto que va creciendo, también me animé a sembrar girasoles y estos han germinado en tiempo récord. Volví a plantar cebollines ya que los que tenían no resistieron. Creo que dentro de poco estaré mostrándoles hermosos girasoles. 🌻🌻🌻

Este mes de octubre es especial para mí ya que cumplo mi segundo aniversario en Hive, los últimos meses he aprendido más sobre la plataforma y he conocido comunidades que me han permitido sentirme como en casa y compartir con Uds experiencias agradables como las que disfrutamos en Hive Garden.
