Goddess Of Darkness Part Seven: Trapped!

When we left Lilac and Bruce, they were at the airport, planning on a quick exit from Lima.

Unfortunately, there is someone waiting for them. The huge limousine parked next to Bruce's helicopter spells danger. Will they be able to escape Lima in one piece?

If you have yet to do so, I encourage you to read this story from the beginning.

"What are we going to do now?" Asked Bruce.

"We need to get to a phone that they aren't monitoring, and call Mike." Said Lilac.

"I wish I knew where to find one!" Said Bruce.

"We can't use your chopper to leave, and we can't risk blowing Mike's cover by calling him. We are trapped!" Lilac said angrily.

Just then a young man walked by with a push cart full of luggage. There were two large airline kennels on it too. Lilac looked at Bruce and grinned. Bruce went pale, and shook his head no.

"Lilac, this will never work!" Said Bruce.

"Yes it will, as long as we are careful. But we need to figure out how to look like dogs."

They then walked about, being careful not to look like they were together. Lilac found a gift shop, and purchased two dark colored plush dogs, small enough to fit in with them, but big and realistic enough to hide them and be convincing if one didn't look too closely.

Our two heroes then found the luggage cart, which had been given to another baggage man, who was middle aged. Eventually he rolled it into a small storage room, and miraculously left it unattended in an unlocked room!

"We can't do this, Lilac! The dogs are in there, we don't have anywhere to put them. And I will never be able to stay in that cage!"

Lilac looked around the room, and saw a door to the side. She carefully opened it, and revealed a large cleaning closet.

"We can take the dogs out and hide them in this cleaning closet, with the shipping address from the kennels copied on a piece of paper. They were drugged so that they would sleep through the trip. By the time anyone finds them, we will be long gone."

It took both Bruce and Lilac to drag the sleeping St. Bernards to the cleaning closet. Bruce reluctantly crawled into the roomy cage, and Lilac locked it for him. He put the plush dog over him, face to the back. Satisfied, Lilac crawled into her own cage, somehow working the latch from the inside.

For a few hours, everything was quiet. They eventually fell asleep, and were awakened by the door opening. The middle aged man came in whistling, and took them to a large passenger plane.

Upon being loaded on the plane, the two large men who lifted them aboard peered into Lilac's kennel. "Hi doggy, enjoy your flight." Said the younger of the two. Lilac growled, and made the plush dog move as if shifting positions.

"Don't get him upset, he has a long trip coming." Said the older of the two.

"I was just trying to be nice." Said the younger man.

Soon after, they were alone with the luggage in the cargo hold. ,"I wonder what he meant by a long trip."mused Bruce.

"Maybe we should settle in and get some sleep." Said Lilac.

"Does that mean I can get out of this blasted cage now?" Asked Bruce.

"No, we better stay put, in case anyone decides to check."

"How did I let you talk me into this?" Muttered Bruce.
