This is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt peanut head hosted by @daily.prompt

My truck is a 1997 7.3 powerstroke diesel, it is getting old and it has another problem, it will not start. My husband and I spent most of the day looking up solutions on Google. We have it narrowed down to 3 things.

One was the fuel filter was very dirty, the auto store had one so we changed it, but still it did not start.

Mr Google says that if you take the ICP sensor apart and see oil, it could be that. There was oil but the auto store wanted 165 dollars for a new one. My husband found one on either E-Bay or Amazon, not sure which, for 24 dollars, we got that one and it will be here Friday.

The other thing it could be is the fuel pump, after putting the new filter in it I read where you need to prime it. This is easy to do. You turn the key on but do not start it, leave it on for 30 seconds. Do this 5 to 6 times. The first couple of times that I did this, I could hear a ticking sound, but not the other times. This makes me think that it could be the fuel pump.

One more thing is, and I don't want to think about it, when we opened the hood a peanut head of a rat had built himself or herself a nest in my engine. It might have chewed on wires. I did find some that were gnawed on but not chewed into, but I can not see all of the wires.

Yesterday my husband went fishing for trout, he caught 19 pounds which is not a good catch but better than nothing. He did something that has never happened to him in the 51 years that he has been fishing. He buried a hook in the palm of his hand. The barb went all the way through and out the other side. He said he tried to yank it out in one pull but that did not work, he said it took two tries. I know that I could not have done this, I would have left it in until I either got home or was with someone who could do it for me. He is one tough man.

Yesterday on my FB page a memory came up from 6 years ago. It is me fishing for trout and hooking one but as I was reeling it in a shark hit it and for a little bit I had the shark, too. I must warn you that I did not call him a peanut head but used foul language while fighting him. I was upset to only get half of the trout. You might want to watch it with no sound.
