We continue with the series of murals done for the upcoming release of the game Gotham Knights. After Robin made by Kevin Ledo (CCC's Street Art Contest #98, Kevin Ledo) and Nighthood by Mort (CCC's Street Art Contest #99, Mort), here is my entry for this week's edition of CCC's Street Art Contest #101 with this stunning mural made by the duo artist Lacey & Layla representing Batgirl.

Lacey & Layla
Lacey & Layla is an artist duo formed by Lacey Jane and Layla Folkmann. They met in 2007 in Edmonton during their art study at Grant MacEwan University. Then they finished their studies at Montreal at the Conncordia University. Lacey & Layla worked always together on their murals. They have done about 60 all around the world (Honduras, France, Uganda...). They worked with brush and acrylic paint on realistic portrait of real people because for them "successful public art is done by building palpable relationships with local populations".
Lacey & Layla est un duo d'artistes formé par Lacey Jane et Layla Folkmann. Elles se sont rencontrées en 2007 à Edmonton pendant leurs études d'art à l'Université Grant MacEwan qu'elles ont continué à Montréal à l'Université Conncordia. Lacey et Layla ont toujours travaillé ensemble sur leurs murales, environ 60 à travers le monde (Honduras, France, Ouganda...). Elle travaillent au pinceau et à la peinture acrylique pour créer des portraits réalistes de personnes souvent réelles pour , car pour elles, "l'art public réussi passe par l'établissement de relations durables avec les populations locales".
