Hello to everyone in the Hive Pets community! Today I bring you a new update about my kittens, children of Kira, my cat. This September 20th my kittens have officially turned 2 months old and at home we celebrate it because finally the kittens have reached a certain maturity to be able to have the independence they need to fend for themselves without their mother in their new homes. And although in a way it breaks our hearts because we will no longer have them by our side, we are happy because they are healthy, strong and happy. So join me to see them in this photo shoot I did with my partner, @wilfredocav.
Since a few days ago, my cat Kira has been trying to get away from the kittens. Avoiding that they come to breastfeed but without ceasing to be aware of them as she constantly grooms and pampers them. The well-known weaning. On the other hand, the kittens have already tried new foods and have learned the routine of the house, when it is time to eat. They know it by the sound the food packaging makes and run straight to the cups. So Mama Kira is finally taking a well-deserved rest and the kittens are learning to manage around the house.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Hive Pets! El día de hoy les traigo una nueva actualización sobre mis gatitos, hijos de Kira, mí gata. Este 20 de Septiembre mis gatitos han cumplido oficialmente 2 meses de edad y en casa lo celebramos pues finalmente los gatitos han alcanzado cierta madurez para poder tener la independencia que necesitan para valerse sin su madre en sus nuevos hogares. Y aunque en cierta forma nos rompe el corazón porque ya no los tendremos a nuestro lado, estamos felices porque se encuentran sanos, fuertes y felices. Así que acompáñame a verlos en esta sesión de fotos que he realizado junto a mí pareja, @wilfredocav.
Desde hace ya algunos días, mi gata Kira a buscado alejarse un poco de los gatitos. Evitando que estos vengan a tomar pecho pero sin dejar de estar pendientes de ellos pues constantemente los acicala y consiente. El conocido destete. Por otro lado, los gatitos ya han probado nuevos alimentos y han aprendido la rutina de la casa, cuando es la hora de comer. Lo saben por el sonido que hace el empaque del alimento y corren directamente a las tacitas. Así que mamá Kira está por fin tomando un merecido descanso y los gatitos aprenden a manejarse por toda la casa.
Yesterday on her day, we decided to take some pictures to remember this moment. For this we prepared a doggie blanket that we have at home (like a stage?) and we wanted the kittens to stay there to take some portraits. It was difficult, they had just eaten and far from being calm they were very excited and were running around, playing with each other or just running away from the place. They wanted nothing to do with the camera. And although it was not planned, we liked to take some pictures of those moments shared as a family. Both Blacky, Kiko and Ardillita.
But we also wanted some pictures where all the members of the cat family were present, including mother Kira and father Dio. Dio is a very sweet cat and is usually willing to obey, so it wasn't so complicated to take pictures of him, but Kira didn't feel the same way. She was more focused on being with the kids. However, we got a beautiful picture of them as a couple and parents of the little ones. The truth is that they are very beautiful because obviously they are not a couple, but they both take care of each other, grooming, playing and giving each other space to rest. Also Dió and Kittie are very good with the kittens.
Ayer en su día de cumple mes, decidimos tomar algunas fotografías para recordar este momento. Para ello preparamos una cobija de perritos que tenemos en casa (cómo un escenario? y deseábamos que los gatitos se quedarán alli para tener algunos retratos. Fue difícil, acababan de comer y lejos de estar tranquilos estaban muy excitados y corrían de un lado a otro, jugando entre ellos o simplemente alejándose del lugar. No querían nada con la cámara. Y aunque no estaba previsto, nos gustó tomar algunas fotografías de esos momentos compartidos en familia. Tanto Blacky, Kiko y Ardillita.
Pero también queríamos algunas fotografías donde estuvieran todos todos los miembros de la familia gatuna, que incluyen a la madre Kira y al padre Dio. Dio es un gato muy dulce y suele tener disposición para obedecer, así que no fue tan complicado tomarle fotos a él, pero Kira no opinaba lo mismo. Estaba más pendiente de estar con los niños. Sin embargo obtuvimos una bella fotografía de ellos cómo pareja y padres de los pequeños. La verdad son muy bellos porque obviamente no son pareja,pero ambos se cuidan mucho entre sí, acicalando, jugando y dando espacio para descansar. Además Dio y Kittie son muy buenos con los gatitos.
Finally my friends, the time has come and soon the kittens will go to their new homes, but before that we want to deworm them, so whoever adopts them will just have to go through the checkups and vaccinations. Little by little. Turning 2 months old is said to be easy but the truth is that even though Kira has been a good mother, we were afraid that it would not be enough or that something would get complicated. Baby kittens are very delicate and the first weeks are the most important. The goal has been achieved, healthy kittens. So, I hope you liked the pictures. I send you a big hug and see you next time.
Finalmente amigos míos, el momento ha llegado y pronto los gatitos irán a sus nuevos hogares, pero antes de eso deseamos desparasitarlos, así que quién los adopte sólo tendrá que pasar a los chequeos y las vacunas. Poco a poco. Cumplir 2 meses de edad se dice fácil pero la verdad es que a pesar de que Kira ha sido una buena madre, temíamos que no fuera suficiente o que algo se complicara. Los gatitos bebes son muy delicados y las primeras semanas son las más importante. Se a logrado el objetivo, gatitos sanos. Así que, espero que le hayan gustado las fotografías.
